No, As far as I know there is no easy way to convert a partition to an LVM volume. This guys does it: http://www.anchor.com.au/hosting/dedicated/Convert_Ext3_to_LVM but it's a fairly in depth procedure involving creating new partitions that are the volume groups and logical volumes and then copying your data into it.
