Subject: slocate.cron (cron.daily) - UpdateDB

The daily.cron job "slocate" is causing issues.

Does this even need to run at all?

It's an application server and users don't have command-line access.

It is a good tool for the administrator not necessarily for an application end-user.

It indexes all the files on the file system into a database so they can easily and quickly be located using the "locate" command.
