Hi all, Does anyone have access to definitive documentation that shows which versions of RedHat (4, 5, AS, ES) support dual-core and quad-core processors? Thanks for your help. Aaron
I suspect, though don't know, that newer versions may work better with multicore chips. While a multi core chip looks like 2 separate cores, there are optimizations that the OS can do to better support systems, such as scheduling, caching, etc, where newer kernels should handle it better.
In other words, it is an evolving art, and the later kernels probably handle it better.
