If you have a 3ware RAID controller you can use tw_cli from the Linux command line to view and manage your controller. The software is available from the 3ware corporate site:

Yes, you can reboot the server and there will be a BIOS interface for
the RAID
Card, in here it will list all the details of your RAID configuration.

Is there a way to determine hardware RAID and the type used? I know that
mdadm is available for software RAID. Please do tell me if this is the
