Hey there, I have a DAT72 tape drive that wasnt accessible, even tho the system said it was there (in /proc/scsi/scsi) ...here's what i do to make it visible/useable...: for x in /proc/driver/cciss/cciss0 do echo "engage scsi" > $x done After running the script, the tape is visible and works.
