In parallel with posting the msg, we added named.none. works. The problem with named.none is that when named has a config error or doesn't start (ie, doesn't get to the logging statement), we get no named to messages at all about why name is unhappy with named.conf or whatever. So we are playing around with which level will allow named starting errors to show in messages.
