Try: up2date --arch=i386 openmotif That will force the architecture to 32-bit so you'll get all the dependent libraries if they are in the distribution. When are you getting the error though? It may be something as simple as updating your library path (/etc/ld.so.conf.d/*) or LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
