Can not see LUNs attached to FA's above 255 on EMC DMX using RHEL5.1 and emulex HBA'a

Can not see LUNs attached to FA's above 255 on EMC DMX
using RHEL5.1 and emulex HBA'a


1. Redhat 5.1

2. Emulex HBA's

3. SAN = EMC DMX = FA's are > 255

4. Can not set the Emulex cards or Linux to support
about 255

5. Trying offset on the SAN but, it's not working.

6. We can see the 3 of the 4 SAN disks the FRA is on a
lun greater then 255 and can't be seen from the
server.

7. Have installed HBAnywhere and tried to reset the
lun_id #
./hbacmd GetDriverParams 10:00:00:00:c9:6d:xx:xx G P
max-luns fff

8. Also have modified the kernel (ram disk)
mkinitrd -v initrd-2.6.18-53.el5.new-4-16-08.img
2.6.18-53.el5

9. Can't get the server to support more then 255 lun
IDs

10. modprobe.conf

This is killing me!!!
