Hi Koray This is what i have done to my servers . u can edit the config file /etc/logrotate.d/syslog and remove the /var/log/secure /var/log/cron /var/log/messages and add the new file in /etc/logrotate.d/cust and edit the file and add the following /var/log/messages /var/log/secure /var/log/cron { daily missingok rotate 7 compress create 600 root root sharedscripts postrotate /bin/kill -HUP `cat /var/run/syslogd.pid 2> /dev/null` 2> /dev/null || true endscript } save and exit and restart syslogd service u r done . Are you sure they're not already being rotated? Did you look in /etc/logrotate.d/ for the config files? Did you read the man page for logrotate?
