"Why would I want to wipe /home, or /opt, if they already exist? Give me one " /home is where DB2 lives and I want to start over or resize it /opt is where Sybase and my power monitoring software lives, etc. But I do fundamentally agree with not having to wipe partitions every time I rebuild a box.
