I have a problem installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 on a
64-bit Itanium server. I'm trying to install RHEL 5 on a 64-bit
Itanium server which already has Windows Server 2003
(FWIIW, the server has a single partition containing
Windows 2003).
When I boot CD-ROM #1 of RHEL 5, the screen displays
a menu with startup options from which I choose 'Shell EFI'.
The EFI Shell appears, and I type:
Shell>fs0: (fs0 being the CD-ROM partition)
Next I type
FS0:\>Elilo linux to start the installation program
Then the following lines are displayed:
Elilo
Uncompressing Linux ... done
Loading file initrd.img ... done
_
Nothing else is displayed after that
I need help.

Marc, I never used an Itanium system myself, so I cannot help out.
Just one thought: have you tried installing in text mode (Elilo linux
text)? Maybe you have a problem with your graphics interface.
