vsftpd tricky configuration

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,
  I'm currently trying to set up the following setup:
vsftpd + SSL + passive mode. I've configured
everything and all seems to be well. Since passive
mode requires that the FTP service return the public
IP in the PASV commands, I've set the following
options:

pasv_address=www.example.com
pasv_addr_resolve=YES

However, I'm behind a dynamic IP, so when I come to
start vsftpd it correctly obtains the public IP and
uses it in the PASV commands. However, once my public
IP changes, vsftpd stops working (I can connect but
can't run any commands that require the data port
since vsftpd is now using the wrong public IP in the
PASV commands). Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
