try `service iptables stop ; rpcinfo -p hostA' service iptables start`

if the result is good, u will need to update iptables. can't rem the port
nums off hand.

I have an RHEL 4 client when I do rpcinfo -p hostA it doesn't show any

Is this a problem with the RHEL client or the hostA machine? I can do
rpcinfo -p hostA from other
clients and it works but not from my RHEL4 client.

How do I check iptables to see if it's being blocked? How do I check it
the firewall is on? Is there a gui
to check?
