Hostname=work
ip address 1 = 192.168.1.1
ip address 2 = 212.118.0.1

The easiest way to do this is with a virtual interface.  You can bring
up the second interface something like this:

ifconfig eth0:1 212.118.0.1

You may have to set broadcast, netmask, etc.  You'll also have to set
a route so that the machine knows when to use that IP.
