hwbrowser? It sounds like some new-fangled piece of "technology" to try to make Linux as dis-functional as Windows.

What happens if you use real commands to see what is attached to the system? Look in /proc/scsi/scsi (I presume that you have a fibre HBA which is mapping the devices on it to SCSI?).
