As a new member to this group I say hi to everyone. I have a problem with sendmail. I am setting up a mail server at home and I am using Fedora 6 with sendmail version sendmail-8.13.8-2. I succeeded receiving mail from outside but I am unable to send outside mail (SMTP problem?). The following is the output generated by the mail log daemon: Jan 14 22:19:53 champion sendmail[9314]: l0F35q7u009312: to=< ajmoham@xxxxxxxxx>, ctladdr=<root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> (0/0), delay=00:14:01, xdelay=00:14:01, mailer=esmtp, pri=120371, relay=gsmtp163.google.com. [ 64.233.163.27], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection timed out with gsmtp163.google.com. Jan 14 23:03:27 champion sendmail[10197]: l0F35q7u009312: to=< ajmoham@xxxxxxxxx>, ctladdr=<root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> (0/0), delay=00:57:35, xdelay=00:14:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=210371, relay=gsmtp163.google.com. [ 64.233.163.27], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection timed out with gsmtp163.google.com. A similar output is generated to all other public mail services like yahoo, hotmail, etc. any ideas how to solve it? I appreciate your assistance. Thank you.
