I had a similar situation no to long ago, and it came out to be a
negotiation parameter on the SAN side.  Normally the switch is set to
2GB but Dell told us that with these new drivers it had to be set to
AUTO.

I will see if I can find the case we worked on.

But I would take it up with Qlogic, if the OS can see the cards.
