Basically what they don't want is your machine that no longer has support to
keep hitting their RHN servers.  Until you remove the RHN bits from your
system it will check in periodically and fail to authorize.  They just want
to eliminate that unnecessary load on their servers.

No, you aren't required to remove the OS which is distributed under
the GPL. See the FAQ for some information on this ...

I don't know what they mean exactly by "Red Hat Network Code" but I
suspect that refers to non-GPL code related to RHN, stuff like
satellite server code perhaps. It would be nice if this were clarified
in the same FAQ in the future.
