X server options

I am trying to add an option to the X server to time out the server after 15 minutes. I *think* -s 15 will do it. I can see the X server running:

# ps -ef |grep -v grep |grep "bin/X"
root 4547 4515 0 Sep21 ? 00:15:39 /usr/X11R6/bin/X :0 -audit 0 -auth /var/gdm/:0.Xauth -nolisten tcp vt7
#

but it is not clear to me WHERE the server is being started. I've looked at all the usual suspects: /etc/inittab, /etc/rc.sysinit, the files in /etc/rc.d, and I've looked in /etc/X11 and its subdirectories.

I'm running GNOME.

Any ideas where I can add server options?

Thanks!
