Please correct me if I'm wrong, but unlike samba for example, NFS doesn't offer a way to allow only certain users for example to connect to a share; Restrictions based on IP address can only be applied to the portmap daemon... Are those statements accurate? Thanks. NFSv4 offers significant security and performance enhancements over older versions of NFS protocol. For example, NFSv4 incorporates RPCSEC-GSS (Secure RPC using generic security service API) security, which makes it possible to encrypt the data stream transmitted between NFS clients and servers. That's SECURE in my book :) -- Anze Vidmar <anzevi@xxxxxxxxx> -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list Confidentiality Notice: The information contained in this electronic message is intended for the exclusive use of the individual or entity named above and may contain privileged or confidential information.
