Hi,

TZ (Timezone) environment varaible is not set.

The TZ environment variable is not set in the redhat linux server in our
lab.  I am expecting it to be set to Asia/Calcuatt or IST-5:30 like the AIX
/ HPUnix flavors.  How do I do that, Please suggest.

# date
Wed Jul 19 15:29:53 IST 2006

# echo $TZ

You need to add the following lines to your .profile:

TZ='Time Zone'
export TZ
