Re: how to create /dev again?? - Almost solved

I have one server with same setup.

I managed to copy the  /dev to the server.

Now it seems everything is fine.

I even try " mknod " to make character or block device.

I have not rebooted the server as it is live one.

Have a look at MAKEDEV. 'man MAKEDEV' .
I've never used it myself but it looks like its what your after.
