Dear Krishna
u can pass the img to floppy using dd command ie dd if=<imgfile> of=/dev/fd0
This is perfect from a linux box but any idea about the rest two Q. especially for the RPM [Q2] I tried to install the RPM to the existing set-up (2.6.9-5) it throws lot of errors and I am sure its not gonna do anything for me. even the adaptec site itself saying, the driver is just a beta/testin kind of version [I mean YMMV policy] Thank you for your time.
and boot the linux from CD using "linux dd" option this will work Rgds krishna vipin sagar wrote: > Dear All, > > I am using dual xeon machine loaded with RedHat-AS-4 (2.6.9-5) and > maid RAID-0 with adaptech scci HDD and I am happY with that. > > Now I need to upgrade the OS to update 3 (2.6.9.34) and manually > update the latest security patched kernel-2.6.9.34.0.1. > > Issue: 0 > > The scci RAID driver disk for adaptec (A3200) which I used for 2.6.9-5 > is not supported for the Update-3.
