Yes, he is right. The slave should take the resource over and it does it all right when it's properly configured. Again to help you to fix the problem I need to have more information: what version of Heartbeat you use, how your config files look like, etc... Serge. When he stops the Service(Apache deamon) on Master the slave seems to be not informed about the status of the daemon and the slave is not taking over the function of master.According to him heartbeat sw should start the slave with the Apache daemon.
