you can probably find src RPMS for older versions of kermit on
ftp.redhat.com
lftp ftp.redhat.com:/pub/redhat/linux/enterprise/3/en/os/i386/SRPMS>
ls ck*

ckermit-8.0.209-2.src.rpm

or on ftp.download.fedora.redhat.com
there is at least a version for fedora core 1 on there
