I just did an Oracle 10g Standard Edition install today. Non-RAC, totally run off of a EVA5000 SAN to try to see what could be occurring.

I am not seeing any of the problems you are.... I am on HP FCA2214 HBA's firmware rev 1.45.....

A real engineer only resorts to documentation when the keyboard dents on the forehead get too noticeable.

and in a similar vein, which HBA firmware versions (microcode) are you using? (although I'm probably only any use with HP HBAs, I'd have a look at upgrading them).
