Can anyone offer any opinions of brands or models to that are reliable; or those that are particularly unreliable? Jeff Boyce www.meridianenv.com I have been using a Siemens SpeedStream 4100 for the last month with no problems. The "requirements" specified WinXX --no mention of Linux whatsoever. I only used the M$ oriented software to register and activate the connection to an initial partition with WinXP Home edition. Now I simply connect Fedora, Debian, and OpenSuSE 10.0 as (firewalled) DHCP clients. You may want to use Coyote Linux as a Firewall and DHCP server on a machine with dual NICs; hence, you might connect the DSL modem as input into one NIC and connect a router to the output of the other NIC (towards your LAN). Good luck.
