Hello,
I installed new emulex fibre channel driver on a redhat AS 4.0 box .I
can see luns , make volume groups ...
but when i reboot, system can't boot due to LVM errors.
It seems that special files (/dev/sdc*,
/:dev/sdd*,/dev/mapper/volgroup*) are not auto created and i can't
mount these filesystems.
How can i create them definively ?
When i scan scsi bus, special files are created and i can activate
volume groups with lvm vgchange -a y VolGroup03
Or is it an initrd problem ?
lpfc module is loaded. I have
alias scsi_hostadapter4 lpfc in /etc/modprobe.conf
and i used :
depmod -a
mkinitrd -f /boot/initrd-2.6.9-5.ELsmp.img 2.6.9-5.ELsmp
in /etc/grub.conf :
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-5.ELsmp ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 rhgb
quiet acpi=off max_scsi_luns=128
Many thanks in advance.
