Your answer is right there - Red Hat Linux 7.2. > How or Where I can find the linux kernel that these gcc versions > support can what versions of RedHat and SuSE does that kernel > version translate into? Red Hat Linux 7.2 originally shipped with kernel 2.4.7-10. ftp://archive.download.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/7.2/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/ Updates for the kernel for 7.2 ended at 2.4.20-28 ftp://archive.download.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/7.2/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/ The last update for 7.2 was Dec, 2003. The release is ancient. 7.3 also shipped with gcc 2.96. Red Hat Linux 8 and 9 both shipped with 3.2. Fedora Core 1 finally shipped with gcc 3.3.2 on a 2.4.22 kernel. By browsing archive.download.redhat.com and download.fedora.redhat.com, you can determine all of the release information yourself for both the original shipping versions and all of the updates. I don't know anything about SuSe. .../Ed -- Ed Wilts, RHCE Mounds View, MN, USA mailto:ewilts@xxxxxxxxxx Member #1, Red Hat Community Ambassador Program -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
