output > date.txt

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

hello > *

I need to create a simple bash script that would:

output of "ls -al", redirect to the file name, which would be the output
of the current "date" command.

So let's say the "date" now shows: "Mon Feb 6 14:29:43 CET 2006"
I want the output of "ls -al" to be written in the filename called "Mon
Feb 6 14:29:43 CET 2006.txt"

thanks,
