I have many Redhat ES machines on our site and i have just noticed that for some reason their /home directories are not showing anything inside it and it should show a couple of local user home areas. I also cannot mkdir a directory in the home area and i also cannot mv the directory to another name, i am running all these commands as root as well. Has anyone seen this before the text is below to help. Any advice would be great! ls -al drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 1024 Jan 31 2005 boot -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 191 Aug 22 18:59 clone-finish.sh drwxr-xr-x 22 root root 118784 Jan 3 07:54 dev drwxr-xr-x 61 root root 8192 Jan 16 11:29 etc drwxrwxrwx 3 root root 4096 Aug 24 14:41 flexlm -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 51 Jan 25 2005 .fonts.cache-1 drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 Jan 13 2005 gridxpert drwxrwxr-x 2 root root 0 Jan 3 07:54 home drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 24 2003 initrd drwxr-xr-x 11 root root 4096 Jan 25 2005 lib drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 25 2005 local_scratch drwx------ 2 root root 16384 Jan 25 2005 lost+found drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Aug 9 2004 misc drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 Jan 25 2005 mnt drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Jan 31 2005 opt dr-xr-xr-x 534 root root 0 Jan 3 07:53 proc drwxr-x--- 1 nfsnobody projects 512 Jan 12 15:47 projects drwxr-xr-x 17 root root 4096 Jan 3 08:08 root drwxr-x--- 1 nfsnobody projects 512 Jan 12 10:08 safety1 drwxr-x--- 1 nfsnobody projects 512 Aug 4 21:53 safety2 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 8192 Jan 25 2005 sbin drwxrwxrwx 1 nfsnobody projects 512 Jan 16 12:53 scratch drwxrwxrwx 1 nfsnobody projects 512 Jan 3 15:28 software drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 31 2005 software1 drwxrwxrwt 9 root root 45056 Jan 16 15:05 tmp drwxrwxrwx 1 nfsnobody projects 512 Dec 21 10:22 user drwxr-xr-x 16 root root 4096 Jan 28 2005 usr drwxr-xr-x 22 root root 4096 Jan 31 2005 var cd /home ls ls -al total 4 drwxrwxr-x 2 root root 0 Jan 3 07:54 . drwxr-xr-x 29 root root 4096 Jan 3 07:53 ..
