... and I had one IBM x335 with a single Xeon that would randomly lock up whenever the SMP kernel ran on it (RHEL 3). Booting the UNI kernel fixed (or at least sidestepped) the problem.

RHEL 4 has been running flawlessy on the SMP kernel since I upgraded the box.
