/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-<adapter> has your eth0,eth1, etc
device info.

/etc/resolv.conf has your dns nameservers, domain, and search in it.

Thanks,

Subject: Changing IP Numbers and DNS Lookup?? HELP?

Hello List,

Could some kind people help me with an issue.

I am running Fedora-core-3

I am changing my IP and need to install new static IP numbers and DNS name
lookup numbers. Can someone point me to a list of all places in all files
where edits to either IP numbers or DNS lookup numbers need to be changed to

accomplish this? Can this be done all at once using some GUI tool?

Thank you for all comments.

Peace
john
