Hi ; with a kernel 2.3, for using raw devices, we had to use the directory "/dev/raw/...." and the verb "raw" to bind bloc file with character files, or editing the /etc/sysconfig/rawdevices. I now have a "rhel 4" with a 2.4 kernel (Linux node_name 2.6.9-22.ELsmp #1 SMP Mon Sep 19 18:32:14 EDT 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux) and there is no "/dev/raw" directory How can I proceed to define and use raw device.
