Printing on Enterprise 4

Hello to the list:

I have noticed that a "feature" of Enterprise 4 seems to be a
situation when a network printer is offline for 300 seconds, the CUPS system
disables the printer. It will still accept requests, but the jobs will just
accumulate. Is there a way to disable this behavior? It seems like a
ridiculous assumption to make. Restarting the CUPS service doesn't resolve
it. I have to go into the GUI printtools, edit the printers and let it
restart CUPS.
