Hi Alessandro, > -----Original Message----- > From: Alessandro Viana [mailto:alessandro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] > I tried run newaliases as root! See below: > > [root@server2 root]# newaliases > Segmentation fault > > Any idea? Im guessing now but I would try reinstalling postfix or sendmail (whichever one your using). newaliases is provided by the MTA. Im running RHEL4 and CentOS4 with these versions of sendmail and postfix - # rpm -q --whatprovides /usr/bin/newaliases sendmail-8.13.1-2 postfix-2.1.5-2.3.RHEL4.1 And my postfix works fine. I can't remember what version of RHEL your using. What versions of postfix/sendmail are you using ? Actually just found this https://www.redhat.com/archives/nahant-list/2005-June/msg00238.html which seems to indicate a problem with postfix/sendmail resolving it's own hostname. Have a look :) Good Luck, Nick .
