Actually, this article may lead the original poster on the wrong
path.

A previous poster mentioned looking through the logs.  One
additional thing to consider is whether the system actually starts
up and runs, then the ooops occurs.

If possible, try starting the server in single-user mode to see
what occurs.

It could also be that this server was hacked...  Not impossible.
