Hi Cesar,

it seems you may need the driver listed on this page http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-7-Manual/ref-guide/s1-modules-ethernet.html which I hope would work with RHEL, it's certainly worth a try.

Im not on a linux box at the moment, but try a modprobe via-rhine then check with lsmod. If that doesn't work see if via-rhine is in your kernels .config file (use grep -i), if so you may need to recompile the kernel. Otherwise you may need to search for the via-rhine module. Try to slocate -i via-rhine too just in case ;)

See if www.viatech.com has linux drivers for you motherboard (I couldnt get the page to load).

Good luck,
Nick .

	Hello,

Its an onboard nic on my Emachines 6805 Laptop. The card is listed as a VIA
Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter. I forgot to mention that when I use windows,
and when I had fedora on this machine, the Eth0 was having no issues.

	Very Respectfully,
	Cesar Covarrubias

	Hi,

you will need to tell the list the make of your NIC eth0 and possibly the
	make of the motherboard.
Also any error messages you are seeing.

	Nick .
