I am new to Linux world? I came from windows back ground. I have understood that each logical partion in linux , is simlar to C: D: (or) E: drives in windows, I am I correct? If so how to switch between these linux pations? Thankx Bharadwaj. -------------------------------------- Bharadwaj, Some reading is in order. If you have a working machine, type "cd /whatever directory" to navigate around. To see how it is laid out type: df du mount cat /etc/fstab cat /etc/mtab Then look at the manuals for the above: man df man du man mount man fstab man fdisk Then go to your distribution website and have a look at their manuals. Have fun with it. Regards, Marshall -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
