building of kernel

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

i have redhat enterprise linux version 3.
i've written a small kernel module using printk("<1>hello world").
i compiled it .when i'm trying to insmod it, the foll.error occurred:
kernel-module version mismatch.
In one of redhat articles it's given that kernel rebuild is an unsupported action in redhat.

my kernel version is 2.4.21-4.el.
gcc version is 3.2. when i used the -f option, i've got a warning :
kernel will get tainted
now,what's the solution?
