We plan to use raw devices unde Redhat As 4.0 update 1. We put following line under /etc/sysconfig/rawdevices : raw /dev/raw/raw1 /dev/hda3 reboot server. The raw device did not automatic bind. #raw -qa # chkconfig --list|grep raw rawdevices 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off anyone know why?
