When I run up2date -u, it seems to successfully install the latest
kdelibs rpm, but if I do it again, it does it again. I did an rpm -q
kdelibs and found that it was not installed. I noticed that this rpm is
sitting in /var/spool/up2date, so I tried to run it directly using rpm.
This is what I got:
[root@aa up2date]# rpm -Fvh kdelibs-3.3.1-3.11.i386.rpm
Preparing... ###########################################
[100%]
error: %pre(kdelibs-3.3.1-3.11.i386) scriptlet failed, exit status 255
error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping kdelibs-3.3.1-3.11
[root@aa up2date]#
I googled on "scriptlet failed, exit status 255" and came up with a
possible problem with up2date (and I guess rpm) not having the correct
label (rpm_exec_t)
<https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=119208>
I made the required changes, but still no joy.
Does anyone know how to get around this problem?
