I am trying to compile the "test" applications for ncurses on RHEL 3, but not having much luck. The system is: RHEL ES 3 (100% stock and up2dated) ncurses 5.3 automake 1.6.3 When I run automake from "/usr/share/doc/ncurses-devel-5.3/test/" I get $ automake configure.in:43: `automake requires `AM_CONFIG_HEADER', not `AC_CONFIG_HEADER' automake: configure.in: `AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE' must be used automake: your implementation of AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE comes from an automake: old Automake version. You should recreate aclocal.m4 automake: with aclocal and run automake again. configure.in: required file `./install-sh' not found configure.in: required file `./mkinstalldirs' not found configure.in: required file `./missing' not found automake: no `Makefile.am' found or specified Any ideas? Am I missing something? -Steve -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
