Quick opinion - you can run an unsupported kernel but you won't have Red Hat support for any kernel-specific issues. If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces. You need to be convinced that the patched stock kernel is somehow better for your environment than a continually updated and patched Red Hat kernel. Remember that Red Hat has applied about 1.2 million lines of changes and additions to the stock kernel. Some of those could be important to the stability and performances of your system. -- Ed Wilts, RHCE Mounds View, MN, USA mailto:ewilts@xxxxxxxxxx Member #1, Red Hat Community Ambassador Program -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
