Kickstart Problem

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Good morning.

I'm trying to kick start a system under 7.3 and have set up things per
several tutorials and articles I've found through this digest and
google. I'm successfully getting the ip address at the node being
installed, gotten the boot prompt and have sent the nfs request for kick
start. However, the server is attempting to respond to that request but
is getting:

	icmp: udp port unreachable

This normally means the server is not listening on that port. What
might I be missing that the system is not listening in the kick start
process? I monitored the handshaking via tcpdump to confirm status to
this point.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
