Hi, alll, My system iformation given by uname is as follows: Linux info218 2.6.10 #1 SMP Thu May 5 22:14:28 CST 2005 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux Yesterday, I updated my Kernel from 2.4.20 to 2.6.10. It works and I have worked under new Kernel for one day. However, a problem occurs today after I reboot the system. However, the operating system(redhat 9) is working!! because I can acess the system via SSH. I can install program, use vi, etc via SSH from another computer. BUT, I can not use the computer locally because the screen of the computer always stop at the above line "Kernel command line: ro root=/dev/hdb5 elevator deadline" . This looks that the linux is boot up. And the system is ok, because I use it by remote login from other computer. But it hang up locally:-(. Here is the dmesg informations I get by remote login. The local screen stop at the l ine: Kernel command line: ro root=/LABEL=/ elevator deadline. I spend all the day on this question and google the answer. I can do nothing:-(. Thanks for your advice!
