Hi Guys, I have a redhat 7.3 workstation that is giving me some problems. The user home directories are being nfs mounted on this machine and seem to have no problems. However, when users logging through X and write a file into their home directories somewhere the X session seems to just freeze up and not respond. I am able to login through ssh just fine. I am seeing the following error messages and I am not sure how to proceed. Any help would be appreciated. uname -a Linux buckbeak 2.4.20-24.7smp #1 SMP Mon Dec 1 13:18:03 EST 2003 i686 unknown --ERROR MESSAGES-- Mar 23 15:59:19 buckbeak gconfd (palmieri-2878): Removing stale lock `/vc/Resdis/palmieri/.gconfd/lock' because of error pinging server: IDL:CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0 Mar 23 15:59:19 buckbeak gconfd (palmieri-2878): Removing stale lock `/vc/Resdis/palmieri/.gconf/%gconf-xml-backend.lock' because of error pinging server: IDL:CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0 Mar 23 15:59:19 buckbeak gconfd (palmieri-2878): Successfully registered `OAFIID:gconfd:19991118' Mar 23 16:04:19 buckbeak gconfd (palmieri-2878): 3 items remain in the cache after cleaning already-synced items older than 300 seconds ---- Thanks in advance. -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
