If you run WS in a "server mode" then if something goes wrong you may
well find you get no support from Red Hat for fixes.

Check the wording of the licence(s), I know suse has/had such a clause.

If you are voiding your licence then there is no point in paying for it,
ie use another distro such as say Debian (not Fedora it is not stable
enough IMHO).

Is there any differences between these 2 versions?

I mean, kernel optimization, performance etc.

The only server tasks it is running is a simple NIS/NFS-file server.
