old NFS question

Sorry to ask this again. I did scan the emails, but saw many questions, but no solutions. I export my root file system from Fedora-3. When I attempt a mount, I receive

mount: myhost:/ failed, reason given by server: Permission denied

The correct things are in /proc/fs/nfs/exports I think

/ host.xx.xx.x(rw,insecure,no_root_squash,sync,wdelay)

The hosts.allow is configured correctly. I am using IP numbers directly in /etc/exports.

Suggestion would be appreciated.
thanks
