I have seen this before, but to answer your first question if you goto: https://www.redhat.com/archives/redhat-list/ for the archive. Also, I have seen sendmail hang because of it not knowing the local hostname. You should have something like the followin in your hosts file. 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost 192.168.1.160 mail.picosecond.com mail Travis -----Original Message----- From: redhat-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:redhat-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Shiraz Baig Sent: Wednesday, February 16, 2005 9:37 AM To: redhat Subject: sendmail hangs for many minutes during boot I am embarrassed to ask this question. Because I think, it has already been answered in this list. Is there a way to access the previous questions like this, so that we do not bother the experts for the same question again and again. The question is that during boot, the sendmail hangs for many minutes. How can we avoid that? Thanks bye __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
